Chris Landrum, 47, passed into the hands of his Lord on Monday, June 15, 2020.
Chris was born in Augusta, Georgia on October 24, 1972, to Thomas R. Landrum and the late Wanda Saturday Landrum. He earned an Associate of Arts degree from Hiwassee College in Hiwassee, Tennessee, and earned a double Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Psychology from LaGrange College in LaGrange, Georgia. At LaGrange College, Chris was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Zeta Beta Chapter. Chris spent most of his life in Griffin and moved to McDonough in 2002. He married Jennifer Pritchett on November 15, 2004, and together they raised two children, Thomas and Grayson. Chris excelled in a management career for many years, but most recently worked at Domino’s Pizza in McDonough (Team Cowabunga). He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs fan who loved all kinds of music.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 15 years, Jennifer Landrum, their son, Thomas, and their daughter, Grayson Landrum, all of Locust Grove; father and stepmother, Thomas R. and Shirley Landrum of Jamestown, North Carolina; siblings, Theresa Storey of Griffin and Roy Landrum of Locust Grove; and nephews, Davey, Cordell, and AJ.
Regarding services for Mr. Landrum: while restrictions have loosened some, measures must still be taken for the well-being and safety of the community, the families being served, and the church and funeral home staff. McCullough Funeral Home feels a strong responsibility to play our part in keeping everyone safe during these unprecedented times. Visitation will be Friday, June 19, 2020, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Courtyard at Salem Baptist Church in McDonough. A funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Christopher will be laid to rest in Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough following the service. During these times and for the safety of everyone in attendance, social distance measures will be enforced. Guests will be guided to remain 6 feet apart, masks are strongly encouraged, and hand-shaking and touching is discouraged.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Chris Landrum. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Christopher Landrum Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.
For friends unable to attend at this time, the service will be streamed live via Salem Baptist Church’s webpage at salemchurch.net/watch.
