Jo Ann Banbury, 73, joined her beloved husband of 41 years, Robert E. "Bob" Banbury, on Thursday, May 4, 2017.
Jo Ann was born on July 31, 1943 in Otter Creek, Florida and was of the Baptist faith. From the time she was a young girl, she had a passion for helping, teaching, and playing with children. Mrs. Banbury was able to fulfill that enjoyment as she was a much-loved recreation aid at a youth center. She loved hummingbirds and traveling, as well, but spending time with her family was her absolute favorite thing to do.
In addition to her husband, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, John and Isabell Hunt.
She leaves her memory behind with her loving children, Sandi Culberson (Bill) and Mike Banbury (Rose), both of Perry; grandchildren, Heather Hulon (Brandon), Kaity Culberson (Justin), Aaron Lewis (Whitney), Brandon Lewis (Monica), Kelsey Culberson, and Hannah Banbury; great-grandchildren, Wesson and Walker Lewis; sisters, Libby Dennison (Gary) of Screven, Georgia and Millie Loftis (Mike) of Graham, North Carolina; and a host adoring nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7th at McCullough Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Jo Ann Banbury to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
