Joyce Rowell Gaultney

Joyce Gaultney, 82, entered into rest on Friday, July 26, 2013.

Mrs. Gaultney was born on November 13, 1930 in Junction City, Georgia. She retired as Chief Records Manager from Robins Air Force Base and received numerous awards for her job performance, one of which was signed by Ronald Reagan. She was also a charter member of Second Baptist Church. Her parents, Mack and Maude Rowell; sisters, Catherine Smith, Martha Passmore and Sandra Schmidt and brothers, Morris Rowell, M.C. Rowell and Alvin Rowell, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband, Fred Gaultney; children, Cherie Bedsole, Macon and Kevin Pruett (Julia), King, North Carolina; grandchildren, Melissa Bedsole, Christopher Pruett and Eric Pruett; two great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and sisters, Helen Manning, Betty Ann Bostic, and Connie Rowell

Visitation will be Monday, July 29, 2013, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Avenue, Seventh Floor, New York, NY 10001.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Hazel Colson, Phyllis Waters and all of Heart of Georgia Hospice. Special thanks to Cel Dizon and Linda Riech for being such exceptional caregivers.
