November 5, 1952 — August 3, 2020

Randy Sturdivant, loving husband, father, and Pop-Pop, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven on Monday, August 3, 2020. He was 67 years old.

Randy was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, on November 5, 1952, to the late Victor Sturdivant and Ruth Sanders Smith. Not content to sit around in his retirement years, Randy moved to Warner Robins to be closer to his family and took on several endeavors to occupy his time. He held a career with Houston County where he served as a paramedic and 911 dispatcher, and later owned his own Lance, Inc. truck where he enjoyed being a route salesman. When he wasn’t at work, you could Randy him hunting or fishing to pass the time.

He was preceded in death by his father, Victor Sturdivant; his mother, Ruth Smith (Joe); his stepfather, W.A. Dailey; and his brothers, Jimmy Sturdivant, Guy and Scott Dailey.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 49 years, Gail L. Sturdivant of Bonaire; daughters, Kenya Sexton (Michael) of Kathleen and Brandi Hall (Joshua) of Bonaire; grandchildren, Haley, Miya, and Ashlynn Sexton, and Elijah and Joshlynn Hall; siblings, Leah Edwards (Tommy) of Palatka, Florida, Sherry King and Dianne Hopkins, both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Nadine Sweeney (Richard) of Holt, Florida, Hope Trauth (Philip) of Perry, Terry Dailey (Cindy) and Perry Dailey, both of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and Victor Slaw (Michelle) of Warner Robins and Scott Sturdivant (Sandy) of Kathleen; and stepmother, Joyce Sturdivant of Warner Robins; along with many other nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, August 7, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m., in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.
