Adam Burke Ritchie, III

Adam Burke Ritchie, III passed away at Houston Medical Center on Sunday, December 3, 2023. He was 62 years old.

Adam was born on August 23, 1961, in Newport News, Virginia, to Martha Ann Ward Ritchie and the late Adam Burke Ritchie, II. He pursued higher education before dedicating his career as a machinist first at Boeing, then Flint Machine Tools, and finally, Techwood Precision Engineering, where he retired.

Adam was a dedicated outdoorsman and a proud member of the Sandy Ridge Hunting Club, where he shared camaraderie with his fellow hunting enthusiasts. Adam's adventurous spirit extended to the open road, where he reveled in the freedom of riding his beloved Harley Davidson motorcycle. Beyond his love for the outdoors, Adam was a history buff and found fascination in the intricacies of technology.

A compassionate man, Adam always extended a helping hand to those in need. His caring nature touched the lives of his family, friends, and acquaintances alike. As his loved ones navigate the challenging path of grief, they will forever cherish the beautiful memories and enduring legacy of a man who made the world a better place.

His memory will forever be treasured by his wife of 33 years, Kim Ritchie of Bonaire; children, Melissa Diane Ritchie and Christopher Gene Benefield of Warner Robins; grandson, Michael Hill; mother, Martha Ann Ward Ritchie of Placitas, New Mexico; and sister, Paula Redwine of Placitas, New Mexico.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.  Adam Burke Ritchie, III will be laid to rest privately.
