Agnes Baggett, 82, joined her beloved husband of 60 years, Urtis Roy Baggett, in Heaven on Sunday, September 20, 2015.
Born Agnes Leo Laverne Turner on September 25, 1932 in Chambers County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Luther C. and Grace Abner Turner. Agnes was a wonderful homemaker, devoted wife, attentive mother to three daughters, and doting grandmother to 12 amazing grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Family was the most important part of her life, and she adored all time spent with them. Taking care of her grandchildren was her favorite pastime and she also loved to cook. Northside Baptist was her church home.
Agnes leaves behind so many treasured memories with her daughters, Susanne Ridings (Eugene) of Kathleen, Brenda Baggett of Warner Robins, and Patsy Baggett of Pulaski County; grandchildren, Tim Ridings, Jennifer Zeiner, Scott Ridings, Brette Callaway (James) and Kyle Ridings; and seven great-grandchildren, Peyton, Hayden, Haley and Carly Ridings, Mady and Truitt Zeiner, and Sophie Callaway.
Visitation will be Wednesday, September 23, 2015, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. After the service, Mrs. Baggett will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in memory of Agnes to Jay's Hope, Jay's Hope Foundation.
