Albert William Smith, Jr.

Albert William Smith, Jr., 75, entered into rest on Thursday, September 3, 2009.

Mr. Smith was born on September 27, 1933, in Avon Park, Florida. With great pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Army as a Biomedical Engineer for twenty years before retiring. After his military career, he worked at Phillips Medical Systems, Hughston Sports Medicine Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, and at the Houston County Sheriff's Department as a Law Enforcement Detention Officer. His parents, Albert William Smith, Sr., and Madie Henderson Hudson, preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Sandra Allen Smith; son, David Foss, Truth or Consequences, New Mexico; daughter, Virginia Denton, Centerville; son, William Smith (Malou), Warner Robins; son, Rodney Smith, Perry; daughter, Debra Brinson (Keith), Brooklet, Georgia; twelve grandchildren, AJay, Allen, David, C.J., J.R., Amy, Jeremy, Deanna, Kasie, David, Sheila and Stephanie; and twelve wonderful great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, September 7, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Joe Eason officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
