Alfred ''A.I.'' Willis, 85, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 14, 2011.
A.I. was born on June 18, 1926 in Byromville, Georgia. A veteran of the United States Army, he was Owner and Operator of Willis Alignment Shop. Mr. Willis was a long-time member of Northside Baptist Church, but later attended Westside Baptist Church. His wife, Vivian Louise Willis; daughter, Rosemary Kendall; and son, A.I. Willis, III, preceded him in death.
His memory will forever be treasured by his children, Judy Williams (Walter), Bonaire, Karen Falkner, Warner Robins, Jennifer Smith, Bonaire, and Kimberly Hall, Warner Robins; grandchildren, Carly Krajewski (Neal), Valerie Williams, Ben (Christy), Quentin, and Gary Falkner; Melissa, Clinton, and Josh Kendall, and Shannon and Evan Smith; eleven great-grandchildren; one brother, William R. Willis, Savannah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 16, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 17, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to The Gideons International, 524 Poplar Street, Macon, GA 31201 or Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Cir, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
