Alfred Campbell Elvins, Jr., a beloved safety manager, devoted family man, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on August 24, 2024, at the age of 79. Born on June 29, 1945, in Troy, NY, Al spent his later years residing in Kathleen, GA.

A dedicated professional, Al joined MGC Roofing following his retirement, driven by his enduring passion for his work. For over a decade, he was an integral part of the MGC team, known for his unwavering commitment to safety and his positive demeanor. Al’s presence was a beacon of encouragement, and his influence extended far beyond his professional role. His remarkable character and steadfast dedication made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to work alongside him.

Al was also a hard worker who loved his family dearly, and he took immense pride in his role as a grandfather. His commitment to his loved ones was as strong as his dedication to his career, and his joy in spending time with his grandkids was evident to all who knew him.

Al leaves behind a legacy of excellence both in the workplace and at home. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him, especially his family, who will miss his love, guidance, and infectious spirit.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Veronica Elvins, and his sister, Sally Dyer.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Jane Elvins; children, Alfred C. Elvins, III (Tina), of Tomahawk, WI, Jennifer L. Davidson (Stan) of Warner Robins, GA, and Danielle McDaniel (Jamey) of Kathleen, GA; grandchildren, Kevin Davidson, Hayley McDaniel, Lauren Davidson, Jamey McDaniel and Branden Davidson; sister, Theresa Trombley (Vaughn) of Albany, NY; and faithful companions, Rascal, Archie and Daisy.
