Alice "Jean" Martin, 68, entered into rest on Sunday, October 13, 2013.
Jean was born on December 24, 1944 in Blenheim, New Zealand to the late Angus and Christina Gordon. She attended Marlborough College in New Zealand. She was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church in Warner Robins, Georgia where she served as an Elder. Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was dearly loved and her vivacious spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing her. Jean formerly worked at the Base Exchange at Robins Air Force Base and at Sun Trust Bank.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving and devoted husband, David Martin, Bonaire; her loving children, Lt Col Charmaine Martin, USAF, San Antonio, Texas; Tamara Singletary (Michael), Jacksonville, Florida; sisters, Christina "Mary" McGhie (Keith), Napier, New Zealand; Helen Winstanley (Tristan), Blenheim, New Zealand; grandchildren, Audrey and Jack Singletary; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at First Presbyterian Church. Private Interment will be in Andersonville National Cemetery. The family request that no flowers be sent.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.
