Allison C. Jones

Allison C. Jones, 96, entered into rest on June 1, 2011.

Mr. Jones was born on November 8, 1914 in Clayton County, Georgia. He was among the first employed at Robins Air Force Base and held among other positions the Director of Maintenance. He retired from Civil Service. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, and was a combat veteran in World War II. Mr. Jones was a founding member of First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins and of Robins Federal Credit Union. His parents, W. A. and Rosabelle Jones; and sister, Flora Foster preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife of almost seventy years, Evelyn Jones; children, Rebecca (Gary) Lashley, Warner Robins, and David (Tammy) Jones, Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Allison (Scot) Ethridge, Kevin (Wendy) Lashley, Kristin (Simon) Peterson, Amber Jones, and Julianna Jones; great-grandchildren, Trey and Blake Ethridge, Gracie and Reese Peterson, Isabelle and Olivia Lashley; sister, Lucielle Smith, Rex, Georgia; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Magnolia Park Cemetery. The family respectfully requests memorial donations to be given to First United Methodist Church of Warner Robins, 205 North Davis Drive, Warner Robins, Georgia, 31093.
