Alma Foskey Dixon

Alma Dixon, 76, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2017.

Alma was born on July 27, 1940 in Vienna, Georgia to the late, Havard and Estelle Foskey. Following high school, she met and married the love of her life of 52 years, the late, Edward Dixon. For many years, Alma traveled with her husband during his military career. In 1972, they moved to Warner Robins, which became their home.

Alma had a passion for working with children, at a young age she babysat neighborhood children, later she served in her church's Sunday school program and in 1976, she began her career at Children's Friend Learning Centers. Her love and influence grew as she progressed through her 41 years of devoted service to the Centers, Area, Regional management and ultimately, she served as the Assistant to the President of Children's Friend. Alma was also a member of the Warner Robins Chamber Leadership and the Georgia Childcare Association. She devoted her life to her three greatest loves, the Lord, her family, and Children's Friend Learning Centers.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Edward Donald Dixon, Jr. (Yong) of Bonaire; grandson, Donald L. Dixon (Anna); several nieces and nephews; and special companion, "Prissy".

Visitation will be Sunday, March 5, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 6, 2017 in the Chapel of McCullough. Following the service, Alma will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
