Amanda Leigh Johnson

Amanda Johnson left this earth after a brief illness on January 28, 2021. She was 40 years old.

Amanda was passionate about music and an avid reader. She loved animals of all sorts - birds, fish, snakes, dogs and cats - she had at least one or all of them at various points in her life. Amanda enjoyed cooking and spending time with her friends and family. She was always trying to learn something new. Amanda had a big heart, a great sense of humor, and would do anything for anyone in need. If you were a friend of Amanda’s, you were a friend indeed.

Those who preceded Amanda in death were her father, Larry Emerick; paternal grandparents, Carl and Juanita Smith, formerly of Orlando, Florida; and maternal grandparents, Wilford and Maxine Emory, formerly of Jeffersonville, Georgia.

Left to cherish Amanda’s memory are her fiance, William Moore of Warner Robins; mother, Barbara Emerick of Warner Robins; siblings, Michael Emerick (Erika) of Marietta, and Valerie Emerick of Augusta; aunt, Leah Emory Whitby of Macon; cousin, Laura Bailey (Chase) of Macon; nieces, Megan Brantley and Trinity Emerick; and nephew, Garrett Emerick.

At the family’s request, all services for Amanda will be private.
