Ana Maria Epstein

Ana Maria Epstein, 82, entered into rest on Thursday, January 5, 2023.

Ana was born on October 1, 1940, in Marfa, Texas to the late Francisco and Sulema Chavez. Ana was a devout Christian with great faith. She enjoyed reading her bible and loved her relationship with God. Through her faith, she taught English to immigrants at Central Baptist as well as at the local Technical School. She loved outreach and other missions where she could help others. Strangers were just friends she hadn’t met yet. Ana loved her grandchildren and putting together photo albums of her cherished memories. A strong and independent woman, she worked two jobs and put herself through school. She enjoyed discussing politics, playing sudoku, and watching her birds in her yard.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Theresa Turner (Jack) of Bonaire, Georgia, Robert Flaherty (Gennette) of Perry, Georgia, and Thomas Flaherty (Andrea) of Warner Robins, Georgia; her grandchildren, Christine Province (Robby) of Riverview, Florida, Paul Turner of Bonaire, Georgia, Andrew Flaherty of Portland, Oregon, Erin Edwards of Perry, Georgia, Alex Flaherty of Warner Robins, Georgia, and Quinn Edwards of Perry; her great-grandchildren, Gabriel Province (Laura) of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Brianna Province of Riverview, Florida; as well as her six siblings and many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings.

A memorial gathering will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2023, in the Farmhouse at McCullough Funeral Home.
