Andrew "Andy" Ray McReynolds

May 14, 1957 — October 5, 2024

It’s with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Andrew (Andy) Ray McReynolds beloved husband, father, pawpaw, brother and son on October 5, 2024, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Born May 14, 1957, in Columbus, Ohio. Andy was the son of the late Dick and Mary McReynolds. After graduation Andy worked for The Limited before relocating to Warner Robins with his wife and children to be closer to family. He worked on Robins Air Force Base before he and his wife opened Artistic Monograms and More.

Family was the heart of Andy’s life, he was the foundation, and he cherished every moment spent with them. If he wasn’t creating memories with his loved ones, he was providing unwavering love and support. He was loved, admired, and respected by all who knew him and will be greatly missed - especially by his family.

A passionate traveler, Andy delighted in going on cruises. His joy in exploring new places and creating memories with his family and friends was a testament to his adventurous and loving nature.

Andy fought a courageous 17-month battle with Glioblastoma, in which his dedication to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior, remained steadfast and brought a profound source of peace for him and those who loved him. Andy declared from the onset of his cancer diagnosis and battle served as a testimony to the redeeming power of faith and brought just one person to a relationship with the Lord, then his battle was worth it! 1 Corinthians 2:9

In addition to his parents, Andy is proceeded in death by his brothers Brian and Terry McReynolds, father-in-law Billie W. Reid, Sr and brother-in-law Mark Reid.

Left to cherish his memory is the love of his life, his wife of 48 years, Sherry McReynolds. To quote Andy, “Sherry was the Ying to his Yang.” His son, Bryan McReynolds (Kristy) of Warner Robins, GA, daughter Tiffany Roberts (Joe) of Carabelle, FL, and grandson, James McReynolds, grandson, Josh Roberts, granddaughter, Emilee Roberts and great grandson, Greyson Roberts. His mother-in-law, Shirley Reid of Perry, GA. His sisters, Lynda McReynolds, Tami Angel and Iva McReynolds of Columbus, OH and his brother Pat McReynolds (Vera) of St Pete, FL. His sisters-in-law, Bobbie Sellers and Kathy Opitz (Doug) of Warner Robins, GA, Cindy Walker (Steve) of Carey, NC and Michelle Reid of Rockmart, GA. Brothers-in-law, Billie Reid of West Pablo, CO and Jeffrey Reid (Carolyn) of Centerville, GA and a host of nieces and nephews. Last but never least his best friends, his buddy, Jud Fiebiger (Babette) of Warner Robins. There are not enough words to express gratitude to Jud for his unwavering love and support for Andy and Sherry during Andy’s illness. And his brother from another mother, Bobby McLain (LouAnn) of Perry.

The family would also like to thank his doctors at the Mayo Clinic for their exceptional treatment and care and to Kathy James for her help in caring for Andy in the last few weeks.

A funeral service will be held at Sandy Valley Church in Warner Robins on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Steven Wood officiating. At the family’s request burial will be private.
