Anita June Sledge

Anita June Sledge, 58, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 9, 2013.

Anita was born on July 29, 1955 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was a member of Central Baptist Church. Anita graduated from Kathleen High School in Lakeland, Florida. She continued her education, earning a degree in Criminal Justice from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, Florida and her Master's in Adult Education at the University of Georgia. Anita was employed at International Logistics Group (A.L.G.) where she worked with the Defense Logistics Agency in Procurement Operations. Prior to employment with A.L.G. she was an Adjunct Professor at Brenau University in Gainesville, Georgia. Anita's love for her family and friends and smile that lit up a room will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving parents, James J. and Betty R. Sledge, Lakeland, Florida; sisters, Gloria Allen (Caulion), Warner Robins; Ruth Reimer (Daryl), Lakeland, Florida; several nieces and nephews, and so many loving friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Central Baptist Church located at 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry Street Ste. A., Macon, Georgia 31201. "To God Be the Glory".
