Ann M. Bach, 85, passed away on Friday, December 28, 2007 after a lengthy illness.
Visitation will be held at the McCullough Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, December 30 from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, December 31, in Columbus, Georgia at Riverdale Cemetery.
Ms. Bach was born in Columbus, Georgia. She was Valedictorian of the 1965 Class of St. Joseph College where she also served the staff of the student newspaper “Shavings”. Ms. Bach worked as a personnel manager for J.C. Penney for 16 years, in Lansing Illinois, at the age of 42, she then followed her childhood dream of becoming a teacher.
Ms. Bach was a member of the Delta Epsilan Sigma National Honor Society, the Hammond Chamber of Commerce and an American Red Cross Volunteer. She also attended the First Baptist Church of Lansing.
Her beloved husband Carl Bach preceded her in death in 1964. She was also predeceased by her nephew Paul A. Pearce of Macon. Survivors include her nieces, Andreana Maffeo of Macon; Vicki Steppe of Gray; and Ann Drury of Macon; nephews, John R.C. Pearce of Lincolntown, North Carolina and Millard Pearce of Macon.
