Anna M. Fabian

November 23, 1920 — November 2, 2016

In the early evening hours of Wednesday, November 2, 2016, 95-year-old Anna Fabian entered into Heaven.

Anna was born on November 23, 1920 in Borgo Val deTaro, Italy. In 1935 she and her sister moved to New York City. Two years later at the age of 17, she married the love of her life John Fabian. In 1942 they moved to Tarrytown, New York where Anna began working for and ultimately retired from General Motors Corporation after many years of service. Anna was very involved with the local United Automobile Workers (UAW) where she served as the Vice President and travel coordinator. She loved to spend time at her summer home in Guilford, Connecticut where she was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating. Anna also enjoyed traveling, cooking, and entertaining people at her home. Her beloved granddaughter claims that Anna was "the best cook on earth". As much as she enjoyed life, her greatest joy came from her family.

Her loving husband, Renato John Fabian; father, Ernesto Dellapina; mother, Maria Delnevo; stepmother, Teresa Dellapina and sister, Gloria Tibaldi, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Roger Fabian (Gail Taylor) of Wethersfield Connecticut; Sharon Fabian Yates (Richard) of Macon, Georgia; grandchildren, Jill Fabian, Beth Nesteriak (Bryan), Helena Engelauf (Robert), Richard Yates, Jr. (Teresa), DeAnna Yates: 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Angelina Signorini of Bronxville, New York and brother Joseph Delapina of New York City.

Visitation with Anna's family will be Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Coffey Funeral Home in Tarrytown, New York. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 at Immaculate Conception Church, 199 N Broadway, Sleepy Hollow, New York.
