Anna Virginia Roberson

Anna Virginia Roberson, born on September 22, 1935 in Blackshear, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, in Dacula, GA, at the age of 86. She is now with her beloved husband of 36 years, Thomas L. Roberson, Jr. in Heaven.

A retired dietitian with Coliseum Hospital and devout Baptist woman, Anna’s number one priority in life was taking care of others. Whether it was providing nutritional advice to patients or showering her family and friends with love and kindness, Anna was always there when in need. When her children were younger, she always looked forward to taking them camping in the Smokies and on Jekyll Island. In addition, Anna loved cooking, singing and listening to Gospel music (especially Elvis), but was also a wonderful seamstress. She was proud to have made blankets for each one of her grandchildren. Northside Baptist Church in Centerville was her church home.

In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jeff Sauerwine.

She is survived by her loving children, Thomas Roberson III (Becki) of AL, Cecilia Sauerwine of WY and Sue Ellen Hulsey (Jerry) of GA; grandchildren, Kevin Roberson, Eamonn Kelly (Emily), Brendan Kelly (Erica), Meghan Clark (Adam), Danielle Gumm (Danny), Haylee Stellern (Zach), Elisha Dumond (Paul) and Heather Savage (Kody); and 15 great-grandchildren, including one on the way.

Anna will be laid to rest with a graveside funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
