Anne E. Ringer

Anne E. Ringer, 70, entered into rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2009.

Born on September 21, 1938 in Albany, Georgia, Mrs. Ringer grew up in Thomasville and then moved to Gainesville, Florida. Following her graduation from Gainesville High, she studied Medicine at the University of Florida for a time, and eventually dedicated her energies to raising a family, supporting her husband's military and civil service careers and his entrepreneurial pool business. She was also a devoted grandmother. Her family raised, she ventured into business and became the successful owner and operator of "The Happy Scrapper". Shirley Hills Baptist Church was her church home, where she was a member of the Frogs Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Her husband, Alvin Thomas Ringer, son, Shawn Michael Ringer, and father, Dewey Keller Hyde, preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Debbie (John) Hemphill, Suwanee and Kristl Ringer, Warner Robins; son, Mark (Nikki) Ringer, Centerville; mother, Annie Shepherd Hyde, Centerville; seven grandchildren; sister, Elaine Carter, Centerville; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 11, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2009, at Shirley Hills Baptist Church, Reverend Andy Cook officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins GA 31088 or to the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc., 107 Crest Pointe, Warner Robins GA 31088.
