Annie Jane Ballard

Annie Jane Ballard, 95, entered into rest on Friday, November 3, 2017.

Annie was born on April 2, 1922 in Patrick, South Carolina to the late James Henry and Annie Jane Smith.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Julie Balck (Don) of Kathleen, Barbara Morgan of Perry and Rodney Ballard of Warner Robins; grandchildren, Stephen Balck of Bloomington, Minnesota, Stephanie Morgan Dixon of Bonaire, Mark Morgan of Perry and Nikki Giadrosich of Kathleen; and great-grandchildren, Brandon and Zackary Dixon, Bryce and Caleb Morgan, and Jack and Melody Giadrosich.

Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ballard; her son, Donald Ballard; her grandchildren, Kathy Balck and Sheila Roy; her son-in-law, Steve Morgan, Sr.; and four sisters and two brothers.

All services will be private.

The family would like to express a special ‘thank you’ to Summerhill Nursing Home for the wonderful care given to Annie over the years. She was a resident there in Assisted Living and in the Memory Care Unit. The family would also like to thank the staff of Heart of Georgia Hospice for their love and care to Annie and to them, as well.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Annie’s granddaughter, Sheila Roy to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 4550 Montgomery Ave., Bethesda, MD 20814; in memory of her son, Donald Ballard and son-in-law, Steve Morgan, Sr. to the American Cancer Society, 804 Cherry St., Ste. A, Macon, GA 31201; or to the Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Dr., Warner Robins, GA 31088.
