Lucile Waller, 81, entered into eternal rest on Friday, January 20, 2017.
Lucile was born on August 14, 1935 in Vaughn, Georgia, to the late William Samuel and Florence Bates Jones. As a teenager growing up in Spalding County, Georgia, Lucile was a high school cheerleader while excelling in basketball and tennis. She was also crowned Miss Spalding. A retired word processing supervisor with BellSouth, Lucile was a proud member and president of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Following her retirement, she also worked in research for the University of Michigan. Her beloved husband, Horace Eugene Waller, preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Mickey Waller of Moultrie and Cathy Wood of Orlando, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and sister, Doris Powers of Jonesboro.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 4:30 on Thursday, January 26, 2017, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Private interment will be held in Andersonville National Cemetery.
