It is with great sadness we announce that Anthony Mobley lost his battle against stage 4 colon cancer on Friday, April 25, 2014 after an extended stay at Emory University Hospital. He passed peacefully at home with his family and pets at his side.
Anthony was a wonderful, dedicated, husband, father, son, brother and friend. He was a talented artist, baseball coach, mentor and skate board ramp designer and more.
Visitation will be held Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 7 to 9 pm and memorial service on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 1 pm at McCullough Funeral Home. Graveside services to follow Monday April 28, 2014 at Magnolia Park Cemetery, then a celebration of his life will be held at First Christian Church of Disciples of Christ, 100 N. Houston Road.
Survivors include his wife and best friend, Stephanie Marsh Mobley; talented sons, Cyrus and Darius Mobley; Father and Mother, Andrew and Cleo Mobley; sister, Mary Helen Hayes (husband Scott); brother, Charlie Mobley (wife Robin), brother Dwayne Mobley; father-in-law, Charles (wife Sandra) Marsh; mother-in-law, Virginia (husband Mike) Earley; sisters-in-law, Carrie Fields and Samantha (husband Cody) Livingston; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations may be made to the Anthony Mobley Fund at any State Bank & Trust Company location.
