Anzo Darlene Ferguson, 81, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2005, in her home. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 2, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Thursday, September 1, 2005, from 6 until 8 PM at McCullough Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ferguson was born in Chariton, Iowa. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Ninety-Six of South Carolina. She was first and foremost a loving wife and mother but was also retired from the Armed Forces Exchange Service at Robins Air Force Base in 1981. She was a charter member of the Women in Military Organization at Arlington National Cemetery. Mrs. Ferguson had the distinction of being in the first group of WAVES to serve on the flight line during World War II at Daytona Naval Air Station in Florida where she met her future husband. Her husband, Robert Miles; parents, John W. and Mabel Davison; brothers, John, Edward, and Thomas Davison; grandson, Jason Parrish; sister, Ruth Pedone, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her loving and devoted daughters, Carol Parrish, Macon; Barbara Jo Gibbs (Ted), Warner Robins; Jackie Ferguson, Warner Robins; Alice Harris (Bill), Illinois; brother, Albert Davison (Claire), Indiana; nine grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren.
