Archie Jethro “Jeff” Cauley passed into eternal life on Friday, April 18, 2025, at age 80.
Jeff was born on August 5, 1944, in Danville, Georgia to the late A.L. “Sam” and Naomi D. Cauley and was raised with good wholesome country values, and lived a humble life, well-liked by all he met.
Jeff was employed at Blue Bird in Fort Valley in the early 1960s as an assembler. In subsequent years, he worked as a carpenter in residential and commercial construction, property maintenance and management, and was also a mechanic.
In addition to his parents, Jeff was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Frances Hightower Crowe Cauley, sister, Peggy Cauley Faulk, and stepsons, Yipte Crowe of Lexington, Georgia and Robby Crowe of Tallahassee, Florida.
His memory will forever be treasured by his stepdaughters, Amanda Crosby (Darrell) of St. Augustine, Florida and Vanessa Dembowski (John) of Warner Robins, Georgia, along with nine grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, April 25, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Jeff will be laid to rest in Walnut Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Danville.
