Archie Graham Morrison

Archie Morrison, 90, entered into rest on Friday, November 10, 2017.

Archie was born on February 1, 1927 in Sopchoppy, Florida to the late Archie and Ruby Morrison. With pride and honor, he served his country in the United States Navy having fought during World War II. During his time in the Navy, Archie sailed on the USS Bransen, which was sunk during the Battle of Leyte Gulf (Philippines). He was rescued after twenty-four hours at sea and assigned to the USS Fisk.

His beloved wife, Gloria Morrison and parents preceded him in death.

His memory will forever be treasured by his devoted children, Graham Morrison (Barbara) of Henderson, North Carolina, Jeffery Morrison (Sharon) of Centerville and Sheila Morrison of Columbus, Georgia; granddaughter, Miranda Hill (Kelby) and great grandchildren, Tyrion Hill and Declan Hill, both of Macon.

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation being held one hour prior. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at West Sopchoppy Cemetery in Sopchoppy, Florida.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Archie Morrison to Heart of Georgia Hospice at 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
