Warner Robins resident Arthur Sim, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Arthur was a lifelong and devoted fan of “da Bears” and the Cubs. He spent 30 years working for the State of Illinois as a Systems Administrator. He was in the United States Marine Corps for four years, stationed at Andrews Air Force Base-Naval Air Facility. Arthur was a Shriners member for 25-plus years, and was a part of the Royal Order of Jesters as well as a member of the Shriners Wayfarer Unit in Macon, Georgia. In 2019, he was the director of the ROJ. He was passionate about the Shriners mission and was dedicated to transporting kids to the Shriners Hospital. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a former Master of the Daylight Lodge. In addition to his volunteer work with the Mason and Shriners, Arthur was an avid coin and gun collector and loved watching the History Channel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Rita Miotto Sim and by his sister-in-law, Juanita Noe.
Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 53 years, Peggy Sim; children, Patricia Henshaw (Jeff) of Nevada and Michael Sim (fiance, Sheri) of Algonquin, Illinois; grandchildren, Michael Sim, Alex Sim-Edelman, Matthew Sim, and Rebekah O’Brien; Gary Noe of Beardstown, Illinois; and his beloved dog, Gracie.
It was Arthur’s wish that his services be casual. The family requests that attendees wear shorts to honor Arthur. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 20, 2022 at McCullough Funeral Home. His service will be held immediately following visitation at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest privately.
