Arthur James Jackson

Mr. Arthur Jackson age 80 of Hiawassee, GA. Passed away unexpectedly on Thursday July 4,2024 after a very brief illness at the North East HA Hospital in Gainesville. Arthur was born on January 22,1944 in Barnesville, GA., the son of the late Paul Jackson and the late Sara Ridgeway Jackson. Arthur was a people person and enjoyed life to the fullest. He enjoyed RV traveling singing in the church choir and spending time at the creek with his constant sidekick Chestnut, whom he loved dearly. Arthur was preceded in death by his wife of thirty years, Barbara Jackson and his son, Brian Jackson.

 Surviving Mr. Jackson are his loving wife, Hattie Jackson, his sons, Troy (Sharon) Jackson, Clint (Andrea) Jackson, his daughters, Linda (Pete) Parham, Lisa (Kenny) Weldon, Kristal (Tommy) Hayes, Holly Gilbert, Brandi (Barry) Warren, thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

 A memorial service will be held on Sunday July 28,2024 at 1:00 pm at the residence, 1573 John Deer Drive Hiawassee, GA. 30546 with Rev. Steve Rhoten officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to the Towns Union Humane Society in Arthur’s memory.
