Arthur Watson, 90, joined his beloved wife, Margaret Dorsey Watson in heaven on the morning of July 24, 2018.
Arthur was born in Houston County, Georgia on July 12, 1928 the son of the late James Arthur and Daisy Brown Watson. He retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base and was also a successful and independent car dealer for 42 years. Mr. Watson had a soft spot for the mountains and loved following NASCAR. First Baptist Church of Bonaire was his church home.
In addition to Margaret and his parents, Arthur was also preceded in death by his daughter, Paula; his brother, O.V. Watson; and his sister, Mildred Jeneal Watson Murner.
His memory will forever be treasured by his loving sons, Gary Watson (Marla), David Watson (Pam), and Mark Watson, all of Bonaire; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Watson of Cochran; and sister, Inez Webb of Byron.
Visitation will be Friday, July 27, 2018, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 2018 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with Reverend Fred McCoy officiating. Following the service, Arthur will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Arthur to Encompass Hospice, 1760 Bass Road, Ste 202, Macon, GA 31210.
