Barbara Ann Laney

Barbara Laney, 60, went home to the Lord on the evening of Wednesday, September 27, 2017.

Barbara was born on December 4, 1956 in Fort Valley, Georgia. She was a fun-loving lady who always had a smile on her face and loved cracking jokes. She was the life of the party and loved to dance - she kept the party going. Her favorite musicians to dance to were Prince and Lionel Richie. Barbara had so much love for her family and grandchildren and she leaves behind countless memories to be cherished by each one of them.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Annie Rump Laney; her sisters, Mary Brown, Doris Campbell, and Shirley Joyner; and her brothers, Roscoe Laney, Ulysee Laney, Arthur Laney, Jr., Roosevelt Laney, Willy L. Laney, Oscar Lee Laney, and Thomas Laney.

Barbara’s memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughter, Patricia Laney and grandchildren, Rosheshia Howard (Shamar), Tyrese Marshall, and Ma’Kayla Marshall, all of Warner Robins; great-grandchild, Lacarie Laney; siblings, Maggie McCrary, Corinthia Hill, Annie Felts, Delese Tucker (Marion), and Joseph Laney (Annie); and a host of adoring nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A Homegoing Celebration Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given to a fund benefiting Barbara Laney’s family. These gifts can be made payable to McCullough Funeral Home with “Barbara Laney Memorial Fund’ written in the memo line.

McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Ms. Laney’s arrangements.
