Barbara Ann Phelps

Barbara Ann Phelps, 90, entered into rest on Tuesday June 20, 2023.

Barbara was born on April 30, 1933, in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Emmitt and Mary Fulford. She grew up in Junction City, Georgia where she met her husband Paul Phelps Sr. She became a military spouse and enjoyed moving with her husband to different areas of the country. They eventually settled in Warner Robins, Georgia in 1975. Barbara started working with the Houston County Board of Education in the school nutrition program and continued with the profession until her retirement. In her spare time, Barbara enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents Barbara was preceded in death by her loving husband Paul Phelps, SR.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her children, Diane Lenkerd of Warner Robins, Donna Hall (Ron) of Warner Robins, Paul Phelps JR (Pam) of Kathleen, Darlene Caldwell (Scott) of Warner Robins, and Libby Noonan (Sean) of Tennessee; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday June 23, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Barbara will be laid to rest at Magnolia Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations be given in memory of Barbara Phelps to Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave.,FL. 17, Chicago, IL 60601.
