Barbara Jean Holmes

Ms. Barbara Jean Holmes, 78, departed her fruitful life and entered the gates of heaven on Thursday, February 10, 2022.

Barbara was born on January 18, 1942, in Warner Robins, Georgia, to the late James Simmons and Sarah Jackson. She dedicated her service as a home health care worker for many years. Barbara loved music and dancing but most enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Willie Holmes and sisters, Annie Dinkins, Gennie Mae West, and Rebia Dinkins.

Leaving behind to cherish her memories are her brother, Alton Jackson; sisters Janie Mae Toliver, Betty Ruth Ray and a host of nieces, nephew and other relatives and friends.

Visitation with Barbara’s family will be Monday, February14, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The graveside service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, 2022, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
