Barbara W. Evans

On the morning of Saturday, September 24, 2022, Barbara Evans, 87, entered the gates of heaven.

Barbara was born on November 17, 1934, in Macon, Georgia to the late David and Nonie Cook Williams. She graduated from Miller High School and began working for her husband at Hucks Chevrolet Buick AMC in Warner Robins. During the 1980’s, Barbara moved to Atlanta and worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Cobb County Toyota until her retirement in 2016. During her many years of dedicated service, Barbara was very well respected in her field and won many awards in her work industry. Barbara had an amazing work ethic, but was also remembered as an accomplished seamstress, sewing dresses, clothing and draperies for family and friends. Her life was centered around her beloved family and her work. Barbara had a servant’s heart and was very generous to her loved ones and anyone in need. She is preceded in death by three sisters and four brothers.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving daughters, Alicia C. Baldwin (Paul) and Connie C. Farmer (Tommy); grandchildren, Tiffany Clance Smith (Micah Hale), Ricky Cannon (Jessica Harrelson), Joseph C. Cannon (Robin), Taylor B. Freeman, Winston Freeman, Ryen O. Wease and Shylah “Nikki” Wease; and great grandchildren, Whitt Webb, Triston Cannon, Chase Webb, Lisa A. Cannon, Ansley Cannon, Raleigh Martin and Matthew Cannon and former spouse, James R. Clance.

A funeral service celebrating Barbara’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 24, 2022 in the Mausoleum of Magnolia Park Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Barbara Evans to the Human Society of Houston County, Inc. at P.O. Box 9588, Warner Robins, GA 31095.
