Becky Stokes was born in Fort Lee, Virginia, to the late William and Francis Thompson Armstrong in the summer of 1950. On Friday, December 4, 2015, after 65 wonderful years of life, she walked through Heaven's gates, where she was reunited with her loving parents.
Becky was a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church and the IIM Group. She was also the manager of Linwood and Robins Elementary Schools lunchroom's until her retirement. Becky enjoyed traveling the world, attending ballgames, and anything that involved time spent with her beloved family.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of 46 years, Tarrell Stokes of Bonaire; children, Stephanie Jernigan (Jim) of Warner Robins, Tarry Stokes (Ginnie) of Evans; grandchildren, Josh Stricklen, Connor Jernigan, Jonathon Jernigan, Cammie Jernigan, Parker Stokes, Hayden Stokes; as well as siblings, Sherry Robinson of Centerville, Molly Young (Jeffery) of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Willie Armstrong (Kathy) of Kathleen, Roger Armstrong (Lisa) of Warner Robins, Phillip Armstrong of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Ginger Morris of Perry, Janet Goodson (Henry) of Gray; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 8, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Southside Baptist Church with funeral services immediately following at 1:30 p.m. at Southside. Mrs. Stokes will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery after the service.
The family will accept flowers, but those who wish may make donations in memory of Becky Stokes to the Southside Mission Fund, 1040 S. Houston Lake Rd., Warner Robins, Ga 31088.
