Ben Harold Cross

– Ben Harold Cross, 78, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2008.

Mr. Cross was born on March 1, 1929 in Dooly County, Georgia. A long time resident of Houston County, he was a former Civil Servant for Robins Air Force Base and a farmer. He and his wife also provided daycare for children in their home. He was a member of Houston Lake Baptist Church. His wife, Mary E. Cross, parents, James O. and Essie Cross, brother, John Henry Cross and sister, Bernice Barry, all preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Shannon Gunter (Alan), Warner Robins; sisters, Opal Mason (Thomas), Warner Robins and Janice Duncan, (Johnny) Sharpsburg; brothers, James O. Cross, Jr., (Ruth) Unadilla, Reverend Mobley Cross, (Chalene), Centerville and Jimmy Cross, (Sidney) Loganville; grandchildren, Lindsey Wells and Brandon Gunter.

Funereal services will be held Sunday, February 3, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. in McCullough Funeral Home Chapel with visitation preceding at 2:00 p.m. and interment following in Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family suggests memorial donations be made to Hospice Care Options, 1125 Walnut Street, Macon GA 31201.
