Benjamin Taylor Masters

May 19, 1995 — February 19, 2025

Bonaire

Benjamin Taylor Masters, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on February 19, 2025, at the age of 29. Born on May 19, 1995, in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ben was the cherished son of Wayne and Michelle Masters. He was raised in Warner Robins, Georgia, where he attended Russell Elementary, Huntington Middle School, and graduated with honors from Warner Robins High School in 2013.

During his high school years, Ben was a dedicated athlete and one of the founding members of the Houston County Sharks, which he helped select the name and colors for the wheelchair sports team. His competitive spirit and commitment led him to become a four-year letterman, excelling in handball, football, and basketball. Ben was proud to be part of 22 state championships.

After high school, Ben continued his education at Middle Georgia State University. He earned his bachelor's degree in business administration, and his master’s degree in information technology, graduating with high honors. Following his academic achievements, he ventured into entrepreneurship, founding BTM Website Creators, while also coaching the Sharks' teams, sharing his knowledge and love for sports with others.

Ben’s passion for sports extended beyond his own participation; he was a passionate fan of the Warner Robins High School Demons and the Tennessee Volunteers. Ben was a member of the Macon Kennel Club and a longtime member of the Warner Robins High School Touchdown Club. Outside of his professional and athletic endeavors, Ben had a deep love for traveling and cherishing moments with his family. His favorite role was being the doting uncle to his niece, Lizzie, who brought him immense joy. He also held a special place in his heart for his "Granny," who was a source of love and support.

Since 2000, Ben was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he was baptized and held a deep faith that sustained him throughout his life.

Despite facing the challenges of Muscular Dystrophy, Ben demonstrated remarkable strength, resilience, and an unwavering spirit. He was a thoughtful and loyal friend. Ben’s family and friends will remember him for his generosity (especially in his thoughtful gift giving) and his ability to achieve anything he set his mind to.

Ben was preceded in death by his grandparents, Marvin Stephens, Sr., Myrtle Lou Masters, and Emmett Masters.

Ben is survived by his parents, Wayne and Michelle Masters of Bonaire; his brother, Jake Masters (Mary English) of Macon; his niece, Lizzie Masters of Macon; grandmother, Lois Stephens of Manchester, Georgia; aunts and uncles, Patsy Boykin (John), Sandra Singleton, Robin Beaudin, and Marvin Stephens, Jr. (Glenda); as well as numerous cousins; as well as many other relatives and friends whose lives he touched with his warmth and kindness.
