Benny Floyd Mcgee, Jr.

Benny McGee, Jr., 61, entered into rest on Friday, July 29, 2022.

Benny was born on April 25, 1961 in Warner Robins, Georgia to Betty Jean McGee and the late Benny Floyd McGee, Sr. Benny enjoyed looking for antiques, thrifting and yard selling. He could often be found gardening and landscaping or baking his wide variety of pastries and sweets to share with his loved ones. Benny loved Christmas and decorations were his favorite thing to buy. He would decorate every room in the house for his favorite holiday. Benny will be missed by all those that had the pleasure to know him.

His memory will forever be treasured by his son, Derrin McGee (Victoria), grandchildren, Miya McGee, Braylen McGee and Kharson McGee; mother, Betty McGee; aunts, April Love, Elizabeth Solomon, Dorthy LaFaye Whitehurst and Lavonia Whitehurst-Brown; uncles, Charles Whitehurst, Jr., Waddell Whitehurst, Howard Whitehurst and David Whitehurst; aunts by marriage, Mary Whitehurst and Jacquline Richardson Whitehurst and nieces and nephews, Anasa Johnson, Ise Oliver Johnson, Joseph Turner and Benny Marquis Turner.

Visitation with Benny’s family will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. The funeral service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Second Baptist Church. Following the service, Benny will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
