Bessie Davis Floyd, 88, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 14, 2013.

Mrs. Floyd was born on July 29, 1924 in Jacksonville, Georgia to the late Jim and Thelma Cannon Davis. She had been a resident of Middle Georgia for many years where First Baptist Church of Centerville was her church home. Bessie retired from civil service at Robins Air Force Base where she worked as an Administrative Assistant. Her parents and her beloved husband, Kelly Floyd, all preceded her in death.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her son, Brady Floyd, Tampa, Florida; sister, Vergie Davis McCool, Kathleen, Georgia; brother, Walter Davis, Marietta, Georgia; grandchildren, Dawn Daniel and Mark Floyd, both of Orlando, Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Blockhouse Baptist Church Cemetery in Jacksonville, Georgia. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Centerville, 108 Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31028.
