Betty Ann Fenimore

June 23, 1932 — February 4, 2021

Betty Ann Fenimore, caring and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, February 4, 2021. She was 88 years old.

Born on June 23, 1932 in Quinton, Alabama, Betty was the daughter of the late Robert Emmitt and Dora (Lott) Smith. She grew up in Perry, Georgia where she was a fun-loving cheerleader at Perry High School. Betty retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base in 1995 and was a longtime, faithful member of Trinity United Methodist Church.

She lived a lifetime of music as it was her passion and number one hobby. Betty enjoyed singing with the Sweet Adelines International - Wings of Harmony and with the Sophisticats Quartet. She also loved spending her free time teaching and playing the piano. When she was not singing or making music, you might have found Betty hiking in State and National Parks, spending time at the beach off Lido Key, salmon fishing in Alaska, cooking delicious Southern food, or reading a book; she was a walking dictionary. She had a passionate interest in theatre and the church choir. She was a dog lover, most particularly of her fur baby, Prissy, and loved everyone she met, especially little babies. Betty will be remembered by all who knew her as a woman of faith who loved the Lord, His Word, and her church. She was an inspiration to all who crossed her path. Her compassion and love for her family and others was boundless.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Maxine Poole and Brenda (Poole) Vines; her first husband of 29 years, Max Poole; her grandchildren, Matt and Michelle Reynolds; and sister, Martha Sue Parks.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of 19 years, George Albert Fenimore of Warner Robins; children, Debra Tucker, Robert Hill, Debbie Reynolds (Kevin), and Doug Fenimore (Margie); grandchildren, Lindsey Skelton, Melissa Spanier, Madison Hill and Danielle, Amber, Hannah, Georgi, Lola and Ben Fenimore; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Bobbe Corbett (Larry).
