Betty Chitty, 82, entered into rest on Monday, September 5, 2016.

Betty was born on December 25, 1933 in Albertville, Alabama to the late Jesse and Arlevie Ovell Fortson. She retired Civil Service from Robins Air Force Base after many dedicated years of service. Betty loved to paint and crochet but loved cooking and providing for her family most.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, Lance Aaron Bowling.

Her memory will forever be treasured by her daughters, Pamela B. Kitchens (W.L.) of Warner Robins and Deonne McLain (Tony) of Summerville, South Carolina; grandchildren, Julie Willis, Dallas Nolan, Amy Watson, Bobby Nolan, Jessica McLain and Justin McLain; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Billy Fortson and Michael Fortson, both of Warner Robins and several other siblings and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with family greeting friends one hour prior to the service. Afterwards, a private burial will be held at Magnolia Park Cemetery.
