Betty Gaile Durham, 59, entered into rest on Friday, February 3, 2012.
Gaile was born on May 11, 1952 in Perry, Georgia. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Centerville where she taught children's Sunday School Classes. Gaile was employed by Dr. Jeffrey Jarrett at Middle Georgia Orthopedics where she worked as a Clinical Coordinator. She was passionate about spending time with her loving family, especially her beloved grandchildren. Her father, William Shivers McCarty, and her brother, Terry McCarty, both preceded her in death.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her loving husband of forty one years, Dennis Kent Durham, Bonaire; children, Brad Durham (Christie), and Scott Durham, all of Centerville; mother, Betty Sue Wright McCarty, Perry; siblings, William McCarty, Jr., Warner Robins; Wright McCarty, Stokesdale, North Carolina; Barbara McQueen; Johnny McCarty, both of Perry; Melody Greer, Hudson, North Carolina; her precious grandchildren, Tyler and Anslie Durham and Yasmine and Micah Durham; god children, Presley Abigaile Saltz and Gannon Proffitt, and so many other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday, February 5, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 6, 2012 at First Baptist Church Centerville with Dr. Allen Hughes and Dr. David Grantham officiating. Interment will follow in Centerville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church Centerville, 108 Church Street, Centerville, Georgia 31028 or to the Joanna McAfee Childhood Cancer Foundation, Inc., P.O. Box 9537, Warner Robins, Georgia 31095-9537.
