Betty Herndon Tucker

Betty Herndon Tucker, 73, passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2005. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2005, in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with interment following in Byron City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, December 16, 2005 from 5 until 9 p.m. at the home of Michael and Sherry Livingston, 112 Statham’s Way, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088. Memorials may be given to Friendship Baptist Church Building Fund, 1322 Feagin Mill Road, Warner Robins, Georgia 31088.

Mrs. Tucker was born in Wilcox County, Georgia. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church, NARFE Chapter 1020, Women of the Moose Chapter 1353 and AARP. Mrs. Tucker was a past chairman of the Warner Robins Parks and Recreation Board and past treasury of the Warner Robins Citizen Advisory Committee. Her parents, Royal and Mattie Herndon, sisters, Helen Tyner, Bonnie Graham and Judy Herndon, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Debbie Goldberg (Michael), Woodstock, Georgia; brothers, Robert Herndon (Estelle), Macon; Jack Herndon (Betty Jane), Warner Robins; sisters, Louise Wright, Byron; Patsy DeLafuente (Zeke), Byron; grandchildren, Micah and Asa Goldberg, Woodstock, Georgia; special nieces, Sherry Livingston (Michael), Warner Robins; Amy Rowley (Brendan), Macon; special great nieces, Mattie, Katherine and Mary Michael Livingston, Warner Robins; two very dear friends, Elsie Ashford and Henrietta McIntyre, both of Warner Robins.
