Betty Ann (Brunnhuber) Jones, 89, of Warner Robins, died following a brief illness, on Saturday, December 24, 2023, with her family by her side. She was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Rudolph and Teresa (Mueller) Brunnhuber. She married Robert Julian Jones, who preceded her in death after 57 years of marriage in 2016.
Surviving are devoted sisters, Terry Seidel, and Judy Kull; sons, Jeffery Jones, and Kenneth Jones; daughters, Karen Richardson (Jamey), Mary MacWilliams (Todd), and Liberty Kovach (Todd); grandchildren, Sky Jones (David), Sam MacWilliams, Kenny Jones, Alec MacWilliams, Drake Jones, Jacob Richardson, Heidi, Kojak, and Ezme Kovach; and great-grandchildren, C.J. and Ember Oram.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her brother, George Brunnhuber, and her nephew, George Seidel.
Betty Ann graduated from Altoona Catholic High School in 1952 and worked for Brown Brothersof Altoona before completing training in radiology technology at Mercy Hospital in Altoona. She later served in the U.S. Air Force as a radiology technician. After marrying and starting a family, Betty Ann worked as a religious educator and parish coordinator until she retired from Our Lady of the Skies Parish at Robins Air Force Base in 2018, at age 84.
A devout Catholic, Betty Ann will be remembered as a person of remarkable faith and service to her community. She, along with her husband, adopted five children, lived her faith, sang in the choir, nurtured creatures of all kinds, and, above all, provided refuge for anyone needing a steadying presence. She was proud of her German heritage, her home state of Pennsylvania, her work, and her family.
A Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2023, at McCullough Funeral Home with visitation following until 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A committal service will follow at the Magnolia Park Mausoleum where Mrs. Jones will be laid to rest.
