Betty Lee Baskette, age 57, was reunited with her beloved, John Wiggins, on the afternoon of Thursday, February 17, 2022. She was born on July 31, 1964 in Macon, GA to the late James Lee and Vivian Coleman Baskette. Those who knew Betty adored her cheerful and fun personality along with her big heart. She also loved her cat, Pookie, as her own child. In addition, Betty loved everything to do with roses, especially collecting them. The different colors of the flower symbolize a number of things: love, joy, and friendship, to name a few. All of these words are adjectives that perfectly describe our beautiful Betty; she will be greatly missed everyone who knew her.
In addition to John and her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Thomas Baskette and Jimmye Lugo.
Betty was survived by her loving siblings, Quilla Dent (Larry) of Eatonton and Paul Henry Baskette of Warner Robins; sister-in-law, Leticia Baskette; nieces, Vivian Myers, Veronica Figarola, Amy Baskette, Noybe Rankin, Tammy Jacobs, Tanya Baskette, Debra Bryant and Vicky Jackson; and several great-nieces and nephews.
At the family’s request, all services will be private.
