Betty Lou Crumpton, 75, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.
Betty was born on May 26, 1943 in Omega, Georgia to the late Thomas Jackson, Sr. and Vera Mae Jackson. A resident of Macon and Warner Robins for most of her life, she had a third grade education and taught herself to read. Betty loved fishing, bowling, cooking, animals, and had a green thumb. She will be remembered by her family and friends as the strongest lady in the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Myron “Sarge” Crumpton; son, Franklin Dorminy; and siblings, Robert and Leroy Jackson, Joann Crumpton, and Geneva Nasworthy.
Betty’s memory will forever be treasured by her children, Cliff Crumpton and Wendy Moore (Tim), both of Macon, Daniel Crumpton of Warner Robins, Tammy Warner of Byron, Sheila Becerra of Warner Robins, Wayne Dorminy of Macon, and Scott Tyner of Baconton, Georgia; grandchildren, Chase, Tyler, Brynley, Myrah Lynn, J.R., Stephen, John Michael, Tina, Samantha, Manny, Allie, Jessie, Luke, Aaron, Jordan, Grant, and Anna Grace; and siblings, Annette Nicholls of Warner Robins and Thomas Jackson of Sandersville.
Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2018, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterwards, Betty will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
McCullough Funeral Home and Crematory has the privilege of being entrusted with Mrs. Crumpton’s arrangements.
