Betty Sue Roberts

Betty Sue Roberts, 83, went to the home in heaven that God has prepared for her on Tuesday, August 19, 2014.

Sue was born on April 17, 1931in Fort Benning, Georgia to the late Jim and Ivey Peters Riley. She was raised in Columbus, Georgia and graduated from Jordan High School and worked in Columbus Mill. After moving to Macon, Sue worked for the City of Macon. She was also owner of her own catering business before becoming a bookkeeper for Bob's Fire Protection. She then retired to become a wonderful homemaker. Sue called Avondale Baptist her church home. There she was very active and was also a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to many.

Her beloved husband, Bob Roberts; son, Rodney Hunsinger; parents, Jim and Ivey Riley, and brothers, James R. Riley and Jack D. Riley, preceded her in death.

Sue's memory will forever be treasured by her loving children, Danny Hunsinger (Renvia) of Ellerslie, Georgia, Jackie Reed (Don) of Warner Robins, Bobby Roberts, Jr. (Liz) of Tallahassee, Florida, Robbie D. Roberts (Kim) of Macon, and daughter-in-law, Gwen Hunsinger of Macon; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; sister-in-law Shirley Riley of Fort Mitchell, Alabama; and several loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2014, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Avondale Baptist Church in Macon, Georgia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014, 2014 at Avondale Baptist Church with interment following in Avondale Baptist Church Cemetery.
