August 24, 1932 — December 12, 2002

Mrs. Betty W. Doherty passed away Thursday, December 12, 2002 at Hospice Atlanta. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, December 14 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Fred Nijem officiating. Interment will follow in Magnolia Park Cemetery. A Rosary will be said on Friday at 6:00 pm with visitation following until 8:00 pm in the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Building Fund, 250 S. Davis Drive, Warner Robins, GA, 31088.

Mrs. Doherty was born in Abbeville, Georgia. She was retired from Civil Service at Robins Air Force Base where she served as a contract negotiator. A longtime resident of Warner Robins, Mrs. Doherty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Her husband, Richard A. Doherty, and her mother, Josephine Warnock, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Rick Doherty (Pam), Albany, GA; daughter, Janice Whitcomb (David), Lilburn, GA; brothers, George West, E.C. Warnock and Larry Warnock, all of Warner Robins; and five grandchildren, Brendan and Kelly Whitcomb, Lilburn; and Ricky, Cameron, and Shannon Doherty, Albany.
