Beulah Rhoden Childress, 76, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2011.
Mrs. Childress was born on November 30, 1934 in Swainsboro. She had lived in Warner Robins since 1942, attending all schools here, and married her childhood sweetheart, Franklin Delano Childress. A devoted homemaker, she retired from Robins Air Force Base in 1988, working in civil services as an Analyst. Second Baptist Church was her church home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allie Rhoden and Lula Smith Rhoden; two brothers, two sisters and one grandson.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her beloved husband, Franklin Delano Childress; son, Franklin Delano, Jr. (Karen); daughter, Melanie Red (Warren); grandchildren, Franklin Delano Childress III, Chancey Childress, Hunter Red and Kathleen Parzick (John); and recently born great-grandson, Bryce Patrick.
Visitation will be Sunday, September 4, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, 2011 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, Reverend Mike Slade officiating. Burial will be private.
