Late on the evening of Friday, November 3, 2023, Beverly Hudson Carson, joined her Lord and Savior in heaven.
Beverly was born on February 23, 1938, in Fort Valley, Georgia to the late B.J. Hudson and Nettie Lou Hudson. A diligent student, she was valedictorian of Fort Valley High School graduating class of 1956. Beverly attended Mercer University and Georgia State University where she graduated in 1992. She obtained her certificate in Christian Community Counseling from PSI. Beverly loved her Lord and had an unshakable faith that she shared with her family and friends. She was a prayer warrior, praying daily. Beverly prayed for family, for those experiencing illness, for her church, and for her country. She helped others whenever she saw a need. Beverly wrote weekly devotionals that, in later years, were distributed through her senior living facility. She enjoyed writing and painting, and many of her endeavors are much valued by her family. Beverly was preceded in death by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, John K. Carson; her oldest son, John Jefferson “Jeff” Carson, and sister, Virginia H. Fuller.
Nana will forever be treasured by her adoring children, James H. Carson of Macon, and John K. Carson, Jr. (Beverly), of Roswell; grandchildren, Cindy L. Carson of Atlanta, Dylan J. Carson (Lindsey) of Madison, Elizabeth A. Carson and John K. Carson, III, both of Roswell; great granddaughter, Camryn Joe Carson of Madison; sisters, Martha H. Decker of Flowery Branch and Janelle H. Taylor of Perry, and several nieces and nephews.
