Billie Ann Oxford, 86, entered into rest on Monday, August 7, 2023.
Billie was born on February 6, 1937, in Atlanta, Georgia. Throughout her lifetime, she had the pleasure of living in multiple states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Florida. She enjoyed driving to her favorite shopping spots at JC Penny’s and JoAnn’s and to have her hair and nails done, which was always a highlight for her. She enjoyed weekly outings for dinner with her son. Her most treasured possession was her husband’s wedding band that she wore around her neck after his passing. She loved and adored her family and always let her son know how much he meant to her. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, sitting outside and birdwatching her many bird feeders, as well as collecting birds and angels. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Billie was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.L. Oxford, her mother, Johnnie Lois Youngblood, and her brother, Sonny Butler.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her only child and son, Tony Oxford (Wife - Tonya); grandchildren, Taylor Oxford, Meghan Oxford, and April Oxford; great-grandchildren, Adeline Oxford-Fox, Everton Oxford-Fox, and Rowan Oxford-Fox; and sister, Delores Hinson.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home. Afterward, Billie will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery.
